ZAYNE IS HERE!!!

Our sweet little guy arrived on April 26th at 9:42pm(my water broke 3 days before scheduled induction...guess he was ready to make his presence known:). He weighted 7lbs 5oz 20 1/2 long. He had a head full of black hair but it is slowly starting to turn brown! The labor/delivery went exceptionally well and both baby and I are doing great. Nathan is really starting to catch on to the big brother role. He likes to give him kisses and he always makes sure he tells him bye and he loves him before he leaves. As of today he is 2 weeks 2 days old. He went for a 2 week check up on Friday and he weighted in at 7.6lbs. which the doctor said was great. I'm so relieved that everything went well and he is doing great! Keep us in your prayers!

Update...

Hope everyone had a great Easter! We did. On Thursday afternoon after Nathan's Easter party at school, we headed out for S.C. to visit my sister and bro-in-law. It was a long, uncomfortable drive (I don't recommend traveling in the last trimester!!!) but worth it b/c we had a great time. I was treated to my first pre-natal massage! and Drew and Nate had a blast with Jim at Frankie's Fun Park. Jim and Drew grilled out and we also ate at an awsome Mexican resturant. Jim took some really great pictures of us and I will post the pictures asap.
Drew had to work on Easter but we did all get to go to church that morning so I was glad of that. We had a great Easter lunch thanks to Drew's mom and dad. Later on that day Nathan and I had an Easter egg hunt at the playground. We both had a blast doing that!

Now for baby news...Thursday I had my sonogram to get measurements of the baby. He is weighing in at a healthy 5lbs 12ozs. The lady who did the sonogram said the head measured at a good size as well. Everything looked good and he is definately getting into place. She said his head is resting right on top of my pelvic bone which I guess explains the sharps pains I have when I go walking. I had a dr. appt. today and he says everything looks wonderful! The baby's heartrate was 138 and when he measured my uterus he said it was right on. I only gained 1 pound which means so far I have only gained 16 lbs. total. My blood pressure was great as well. He told me that we should have a baby by the end of April! Im so excited I can't hardly stand it but then I get nervous thinking about only having a few more weeks to have everything ready. I hope Nathan is as ready as he says he is. Next week during his spring break we are going to make his "I'm the big brother" t- shirt so that should be fun. We have been on the go the past few weekends so Im ready for things to slow down. I want a few weeks to relax and enjoy the last few weeks of just the 3 of us. Its been the 3 of us for so long now its hard to think we are about to become a family of 4! Well, I told myself I would make this a quick update and here I am writing a book :) Hope everyone has a great week and stay tuned for pictures from the weekend!

New Doctor

Well... after all the aggreviating doctor switching I've been having to do I finally found a good one! My appt. went really good today. They are totally willing to work with me on not having a c section. Everyone was so nice and it just felt right being there. Come to find out, this dr. is rated one of the top 10 doctors in Jacksonville! I was happy to hear that.
Everything looked good with me and baby. I had actually lost a pound (yay) and blood pressure and everything was good. As of a month ago I go every 2 weeks and the last month every week. Next Thursday Im having a sonogram to see how big the baby is. They are also going to get a head measurement. They are going to keep a check on this for me so I don't end up with another big baby. I should get my results to the3 hr. glucose test when I go for the sonogram so hopefully thats ok.
