It has been so cold today! The high today was 50 degrees. Tomorrow night is supposed to be in the 20s. I can't wait until Drew comes home so he can build a fire!
The little boys had a check-up with the pediatrician this morning. They did good and each received a flu shot. Taking them to the doctor by myself is kind of a big deal as they LOVE to show out and put on their imabouttoscreamsoloudyouwillneverwanttobringmebackhereagain faces. Fortunately I had put on my supermom cape this morning so all went well! It helps that I think we have the best pediatrician EVER! I was telling her about how well Zayne has been doing and she got teary eyed. She said I was about to make her cry. She even remembered that Zayne doesn't like stickers (although he's coming around)and that Noah likes to scream exercise his vocals.
But what have we been doing this afternoon? Well here, I'll show you...
This past weekend Drew's mom and dad came for a visit. We all went to Hillcrest Apple Orchard. It was so pretty up there!! We all had a great time. We picked apples, Nathan and Zayne rode a pony, Nathan got to petal around on a cart, went on a tractor ride, milked a cow, and shopped at the market for some of their homemade goods. We ate fried apple fritters with a big dollop or vanilla ice cream on top. It was a blast and we were so glad we got to spend time with Nah-Nah and G-Dad!! We hated to see them leave.
Before we went to the Orchard, Nah-Nah and G-dad took the little boys to buy them some new shoes at stride rite. This first picture was Mike holding Noah on the way to the shoe store. He was just so happy in G-dad's arms!
Last week we took the kids to a local churches' pumpkin patch. They had such a good time seeing all the pumpkins, walking through them all, and picking them up. We let them each pick out a small pumpkin and then Nathan and Drew picked our big family pumpkin for carving. This weekend I am going to let them decorate their little pumpkins with stickers and markers. I just love fall and everything that comes with it...cool, crisp air, leaves turning and falling, pumpkins, baked goodies, drinking coffee by the fire, Halloween. It is my favorite season.
