Food for thought

Ok, so I am kinda in a cooking rut right now. I feel like I cook the same things over and over and I'm ready to spice things up a bit. Now a good reason for this is probably due to the fact that I HATE TO COOK! Soooo I need some ideas PLEASE!!

I can't stress quick & simple enough. I just don't have the time to put a lot of "effort" into a meal. And I'm not just talking dinner, I need ideas for lunch to. Something that us and the boys could enjoy. And I use the word "cook" lightly. It actually does not even have to involve "cooking". For example: My favorite lunch is bread toasted with garlic powder sprinkled on it cut into long pieces dipped in spaghetti sauce and melted cheese. Takes all of about 5 minutes to make and feels me up and is oh so yummy. I got inspired to make this when I thought back to some of the crazy things my sister and I used to come up with as kids. Like spreading spaghetti sauce over bread grating cheese over it and melting in the microwave. Basically I'm making the same thing just tried to make it feel a little more "grown up". As I was eating it the other day I actually got to thinking 18 yrs. later and I am stilling making myself the same lunch...How pathetic.

So.... if any of you out there could help me out with some ideas that would just make my day. Tell me what you make yourself for lunch, or what you had for supper last night. And when you hear of a good recipe, send it my way. I'm always thinking of ideas.

you're funny!! :) i feel the same way about making the same things. i have been into buying the frozen bags of chicken or shrimp stir-fry. it has the vegetables, meat, and sauce packet. then i add the sesame seeds on top. serve it with rice. it's good! there are healthier ones out there too. just have to look. i'll keep thinking!
